Collaborate

We love a good collab. Whether you’re a performing arts centre, festival, booker, venue, community organization, curator or just have a really great idea, we want to hear from you.

Some examples of folks we’ve collaborated are: Sofar Sounds, the Cotton Factory, the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, 21C Festival, Sing! The Toronto Vocal Arts Festival, Wavelength, the National Arts Centre, Folk Music Ontario, EKKT Society of Estonian Artists in Toronto, Women In Music Canada, Mundial, BLOK and Tallinn Music Week.

Volunteer

We are always looking for volunteers who can help us.

If you are a music lover with time on your hands, come and help us organize the next amazing concert or music festival.

We primarily need help at the door before concerts to check tickets and lists of those picking up tickets at the door. Additionally, we will need volunteers for CD and merchandise sales at the concert venues, as well as strong individuals who are able to assist with concert set up, take down, and move equipment. If you have a car you can help us get artists to their shows and gear to where it’s needed.

Send us an email any time at:

Work

Our team grows exponentially in the lead up to a festival. We hire stage managers, sound and light techs, photographers, videographers, marketing interns, volunteer coordinators, festival ambassadors and more. If you’re interested in joining our team, feel free to send us a resume and cover letter that tells us why you want to work for EMW.

Play

Interested in playing EMW? We book: established Estonian-heritage artist, established Canadian artists to play alongside them, and emerging artists from the Estonian diaspora. We are also interested in unique Baltic and Nordic artists. The best way to pitch us an act is a pairing of an Estonian-heritage artist with a Canada-based artist.

We have a very limited capacity to book artists but are always open to proposals.

Send us your music along with links to social media and a bio/cv at: emw@vemu.ca

Have your say

Our planning always involves an informal advisory committee. Committee members attend up to three meetings and help us shape the next festival. Or if you’d just like to share some feedback with us, we’re happy to hear from you too.

Just shoot us an email at: emw@vemu.ca
