1. Who are you, and what do you do?
My name is Natasha Campagna, I’m the Director of the DMZ Sandbox, a space helping emerging entrepreneurs develop the skills needed to create impactful businesses that could foster more made-in-Canada jobs and build technologies that can change lives for the better. This includes programs that provide early-stage entrepreneurs with the creative and digital skills needed to grow their personal and professional abilities.
2. What will you be talking about at the conference in Canada?
I’ll be discussing how entrepreneurship or entrepreneurial skills play a positive impact on a country’s economic and social output. It’s proven that region’s with a higher level of entrepreneurship capital show greater levels of productivity. At the DMZ, we give the expertise and network that entrepreneurs need to attract new talent, capital and customers with the intention of creating global businesses.
3. Why do you think Estonia is such a leader in technology?
Estonia has become a leader in technology by making the right movesand setting up the right kind of structure within its economy very early on. Estonia has become a nation with extremely creative and talented people mixed with the potential to take Europe, and its tech sector, to the next level. It’s great to see a country creating new ways for people to live life in a way that makes them part of the global economy.
4. What advice would you give to someone who is interested in getting into this field?
The advice I would give to someone entering entrepreneurship or the technology sector is to learn how to be obsessed about what you’re doing, learn how to brand and position yourself in the market you’re trying to tap into and always be up to learning new skills that will help you grow personally and professionally.
